After completing a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Sport & Exercise Psychology and providing sport psychology services to elite athletes for four years, she established KBMP alongside Billy Bean in 2022. Kelsey’s work in sport psychology began with providing individual and team services to Division I softball and swimming and diving athletes. During this time, she had the privilege of being mentored by Drs. Megan Byrd and Brandonn Harris, directors of mental performance for the professional soccer club, Tormenta FC, and sport psychology professors and consultants at Georgia Southern University. When Kelsey began her doctoral studies at Florida State University, she began working with gymnasts, USA Weightlifting, and USA Diving athletes. Since then, Kelsey has worked with numerous athletes representing Team USA, American record holders, and national and international champions.
In addition to Kelsey’s work in the field of sport psychology, her doctoral training is preparing her as a licensed psychologist. Kelsey has provided individual and group counseling services to college students and adults, as well as has several years of experience conducting mental health and psychoeducational evaluations. Her training and experience in the area of mental health informs her work as a sport psychology consultant, ensuring an emphasis on overall athlete well-being and connection to other professionals that can support her clients.
